The Royal Northern and University Club is your home from home in Aberdeen. A warm and welcoming environment for our Members, their guests, and for Reciprocal Members all over the world.
The Club brings Members together from all walks of life in the spirit of sociability, partnership, companionship, and enquiry. There is no hierarchy in the Club — all our Members are treated with equal respect and appreciation for their contribution to Club life.

The ambience of the Club has to be experienced to be appreciated. Traditions and dignity have real value in the Club, and we retain many of the traditions from our earliest history. But the Club is no relic.
We are committed to inclusion and equitability, welcoming a diverse membership regardless of sex, gender, race, faith, age, or social class. All we ask is that Members come with a respect for our history, respect for each other, and a willingness to enjoy all the Club can offer.
Membership of the Club is by nomination. Much of the time, new Members will be introduced to the Club by existing Members. However, the Club welcomes enquiries from candidates who do not know — or do not knowingly know — an existing Member.
In these cases, we are pleased to invite candidates to meet with Members of our Membership Sub-Committee at a mutually convenient time. We will offer a tour of the facilities and will answer any questions about the Club, membership, or the nomination process — and will appreciate the opportunity to hear about the candidate's interest in the Club.
All persons over the age of 18 are eligible to apply for Club membership.
